My story and approach
I turned my own pain into a lifelong mission to help others heal.
From injury to insight
Breaking my back when I was young didn’t just stop me in my tracks, it completely reshaped how I thought about health, movement, and pain. I spent months in a brace, frustrated and restless, wondering if I’d ever feel “normal” again.
What followed was years of searching. I worked with great practitioners and tried every treatment I could find. Many helped in the short term, but nothing gave me the confidence that the pain wouldn’t come back or an understanding. The few who made a real difference sparked a question in me: what were they doing differently?
That’s what drove me to dig deeper. I needed to understand why. That question became my obsession. I studied with leading experts, learning how the musculoskeletal and nervous system works and what drives pain. I explored how the body works as a whole, from the jaw to the feet. I became my own experiment in finding lasting solutions.
That knowledge is now the foundation of The Happy Body. My approach is designed to get you out of the cycle of dependency on treatments, giving you fast, lasting results, and the confidence to trust your body again.
My experience
and expertise
For nearly 20 years, I’ve been helping people break their cycle of pain and return to living healthy lives with confidence. I take a whole-body approach, looking beyond the symptom to find what’s really driving it, and create a plan that works for you.
Over the years, I’ve trained and followed leading experts in techniques that address everything from TMJ misalignments and cranial imbalances to respiratory issues, the lymphatic system, and movement patterns. This means I can find and correct issues that many standard treatments miss, often leading to faster, longer-lasting results.
I’m also qualified as an Onsen Instructor, a technique developed by Rich Phaigh and celebrated by Nike as the “Gold Standard” in injury prevention. I spent 14 years training under Jeff Murray, Director of Sports Massage for the Sydney 2000 Olympics, which gave me a level of precision.
My goal is always the same: not just to treat pain, but to help you understand your body, regain trust in it, and know exactly how to keep improving once you leave my clinic.
My treatment philosophy
I’ve travelled the world learning techniques, understanding the body, and finding new ways to improve my treatments. What this means is that my patients not only access one type of therapy, but a range of therapies, all with the goal of addressing the root cause of pain.
Today, that journey shapes everything I do. The Happy Body isn’t just a clinic, it’s the outcome of years of exploration, trial, error and learning. A place built so you don’t have to go through what I did. My treatments include:
